Separation of the catalyst and muffler (Audi A2)

For individual replacement of the catalytic converter or the rear muffler, there is a space for a connector in the connecting pipe. The location of the cut is marked on the exhaust pipe with a groove. Unscrew heat shield for exhaust system -arrows-.



Cut the exhaust pipe at a right angle at the split point with -2-chain pipe cutter -VAS 6254-. When installing, position the fixing sleeve -4- between the marks -1 and 3-.



Install the adapter sleeve so that the bolts are horizontal -arrow-. Threaded connection points downwards. The thread of the bolt faces the left side of the vehicle. Tightening torque: Adapter sleeve: 23 Nm.
