Disconnect el. Connector -1- on air mass meter -G70-. Unlock clamp -2- air. turbocharger hose and disconnect it from air mass meter -G70-. Remove air duct -3-.



Disconnect vacuum hose -arrow- (if installed).



Unlock the fastening -4- of the lower part of the air. filter (press the rubber elements on the left and right and pull up). Details (Bypass flap with air intake switching valve -N335--1-) Not installed in all equipment options. When installing, do not use lubricant at the mounting points. Remove connector for air intake switching valve -N335- (if installed). Carefully remove the air housing. filter assembly.

Installation

For the air mass meter -G70- to function correctly, it is important to carry out the following operating steps. If the filter element is heavily soiled or wet, dirt particles or moisture can settle on the air mass meter -G70- and introduce an error in the air mass measurement. This will lead to a loss of engine power, since the electronics will calculate a smaller amount of injected fuel. Always use the original air filter element. filter. When installing the inlet hose, it is necessary to use lubricant (no silicone). If there is a heated air supply hose (only for countries with cold climates) Check that the intake manifold is securely seated -arrow- (install according to marks). Check the drain hose -1- at the bottom of the air. filter for contamination and compression (clean if necessary). Clean the air housing. filter (top and bottom) from deposits of salts, dirt or leaves (vacuum if necessary). Check air flow meter and air pipe (from the filtered air side) for the presence of salt deposits, dirt and leaves. Check the inlet channel up to the filter element for contamination. Connect the air bypass valve connector. filter -N275- (if installed). Install the lower part of the air housing. filter. The drainage hose must be directed vertically downwards without kinks.




Connect vacuum hose -3- (if installed) to the air bypass valve fitting. filter -N275- -1 -. Carefully install the upper part of the air housing. filter without using much effort.



Check again before tightening the screws to ensure that the upper part of the air. the filter was in the groove at the bottom (to avoid air leaks). After this, screw the upper part of the air housing. filter to the bottom. Check the reliability of the air fastening. hose for air mass meter -G70-. Connect connector for air mass meter -G70-. Install in reverse order.
