Removing the dashboard (Audi Q5 Type 8R)

Set the steering wheel as far back and down as possible, using the full range of adjustment of the steering column adjuster to do this. Move the seats all the way back and place their backs at an angle of 45°. Follow safety rules when handling pyrotechnic components. Make sure that the Airbag matches the front panel. Turn on the ignition. Disconnect the battery ground cable with the ignition on. Remove the slot trim of the instrument cluster. Remove the driver's side front panel trim. Remove the front panel side deflector. Remove the MMI display cover. Remove the MMI display. Remove the instrument cluster. Disconnect the plug connector of the access control and engine start control switch. Remove the front panel deflector in the middle. Remove the radio/navigation system. Remove Climatronic control unit -J255-. Remove front control unit, display and information unit -J523-. Remove the center console. Remove the glove box. Remove the front panel supports. Disconnect the front passenger's Airbag connector. Set option with speaker: remove the mid-range speaker in the middle of the front panel. Remove solar radiation photosensor -G107-. Remove the upper trim of the A-pillars. Option kit. with speaker: remove the side mid-range speaker from the front panel. Unscrew the bolts -1 of the front panel on the top left and right next to pillar A. Unscrew the bolts -2- of the front panel on the lower left and right. Unscrew the bolts -arrows- for the left and right air ducts of the front panel.






Unscrew the bolts -1- of the front panel on the central tube of the front panel in the middle. Unscrew the bolts -2- of the front panel on the central pipe of the front panel on the right. Unscrew the bolts -3- of the front panel on the central pipe of the front panel on the left.

Detach the front panel -1 - from the bracket -2- from below and pull it towards the rear -arrow B-. Remove the front panel from the center tube of the front panel carefully towards the rear -arrows A-.

Remove the front panel on the front passenger's side from the vehicle's interior and place it on a soft surface.

Installation

Installation is in reverse order, taking into account that the Airbag matches the front panel. Install the dash panel and insert the connectors for the solar radiation photosensor -G107- and the loudspeakers through the holes into the dash panel. Check whether there are rubber shock absorbers -4- on the clamp -3- of the lower shelf of the windshield frame.

When sliding the front panel -1- in, make sure that the clips engage with the box profiles on the underside of the front panel. Please note that email The connectors must be inserted all the way until they click into place. Align the front panel with the door trim and secure with bolts. Connect the battery ground cable with the ignition on.
