This limitation is a partial function of the injection, which, if the engine speed is too high, stops the further increase in speed by cutting off the fuel supply. If you are surprised by interruptions in the operation of the engine at high speeds, then this is not a defect, but the built-in self-protection of the engine. The speed limit in Audi is different for different engines:
- Four-cylinder two-valve engine: 6500 rpm.
- Four-cylinder five-valve engine: 6800 rpm.
- Six-cylinder engine: 6200 rpm.
