Maintenance Plan for the Car Enthusiast (Audi A4 B5)

The maintenance plan in this manual is based on Audi's recommendations, with the sequence of operations tailored to the car enthusiast.

Who should do what?

You can do almost all maintenance work on the Audi A4 yourself. «Self Help Traffic Light» will point you in the right direction.

• The work is simple, but most often there is no necessary equipment. In this case, they are best done at a gas station, in a small workshop.
• Stop, here it is better to give way to the workshop, special tools or measuring instruments are required. The cost of independent work is not justified, since the workshop works much faster, or deep knowledge is needed.

If your A4 is less than a year old, or if the engine has been replaced, the factory requires maintenance to be carried out at the scheduled time in an Audi workshop. Otherwise, even justified warranty claims may be rejected. And if someone wants to apply for «mobility guarantee», he must have it serviced by a workshop at least once a year.
