The principle of operation of the starting device
The automatic starting device reduces the amount of harmful emissions in the exhaust gases, improves the operation of a cold engine at idle. The air and throttle valves are not rigidly connected.
Starting a cold engine
When the air damper is closed, the throttle control lever rests against the figured sector. The throttle valve is open, a rich air-fuel mixture enters the engine, providing an accelerated idling mode.
Engine warm-up
The choke valve is fully open, the idle air-fuel mixture is lean. The throttle control lever still rests on the curly sector. The throttle is slightly open and the engine is running at fast idle.
Warm engine idling
The throttle control lever has come off the curly sector. The throttle is closed and the engine is running at normal idle.
