The clutch is installed in the reverse order of removal. Particular attention should be paid to the following:
When buying a clutch, you need to know the type of engine installed, because. pressure and driven disks may differ for different engines.
If the old clutch is used again, then the marks made during removal should be followed. The new clutch can be installed in any position. it hasn't worked yet.
When installing the slave drive, pay attention to the instructions above.
When installing the clutch, the pressure plate must be correctly attached to the flywheel, and the three dowel pins must fit into the holes in the pressure plate. Never try to pull the pressure plate into position by tightening the bolts. The pins and/or holes are damaged in this case.
A centering rod is used to check the driven disk. This rod must fit into the teeth of the driven disc and has a trunnion that fits into the crankshaft guide. You can also use the old gearbox input shaft for this purpose. A special tool from Audi is used to keep the flywheel from turning.
Tighten the clutch bolts evenly in a diagonal pattern to 25 Nm, while holding the flywheel at the teeth against turning.
Install the engine or gearbox and finally check the operation of the clutch.
