The clutch can be removed without removing the engine from the vehicle.
Remove gearbox.
Mark position of clutch in relation to flywheel. To do this, use a punch, with which marks are applied on the flywheel and on the clutch.
Loosen the six clutch mounting bolts evenly in a criss-cross pattern until the spring pressure is relieved. To do this, somehow keep the flywheel from turning.
Remove clutch. If this is difficult to do, you can carefully insert a screwdriver between the casing (basket) clutch and flywheel and push the clutch away from the mounting pins.
Remove the clutch disc. Pay attention to how it is installed.
Wipe the inside with a rag (or friction surface) flywheel and check its condition. If the clutch disc is worn down to the rivet heads, it may happen that the rivets can damage the flywheel or pressure plate surfaces.
If the engine or transmission must be removed for repair or replacement, the clutch must be removed for inspection.
