Inspection and Troubleshooting
1. Thoroughly clean the brake drum.
2. Measure the diameter of the working surface of the drum with a caliper. The maximum allowable drum diameter is 231 mm. If the diameter is more than acceptable, the drum must be replaced. If there are notches, the drum can be bored, but taking into account that its final diameter of the working surface is not more than the allowable one.
3. The maximum allowable radial runout of the drum, measured on the working surface, is 0.1 mm, and the minimum allowable axial runout is 0.2 mm.
